Parents, PLEASE HELP OUT if you can.........Childhood hunger in Onslow County is a growing concern. CHEW (Children Healthy Eating on Weekends) is a program that assists children in Onslow County by providing a backpack filled with child friendly foods which are easy to prepare. The CHEW program serves 498 students in Onslow County Schools and 101 of those students are here in the Richlands area.

From March 12th -March 16th, Richlands Primary School will be collecting cans of green beans and corn for the CHEW program. We are asking that each student try to bring at least one can of green beans or corn. Our goal is to collect 1,000 cans. CHEW uses 404 cans of green beans and corn a month. Please help the students in our community by donating. All donations remain in the Richlands area. Thank you for your support!
