Ms. Johnson is the AU teacher here at Swansboro Elementary. She enjoys reading, nature, si-fi movies and family.  Ms. Johnson was raised with a sibling that has a disability, worked in a variety of support programs and ran a home daycare for 10 yrs for children with disabilities. While pursuing her education she was employed as an instructional assistant in a pre/k autism program and did her first 2 yrs teaching in a cross-categorical k-2 program in CA. for students with learning disabilities. Ms. Johnson believes in positive reinforcement and implements many incentive programs to create a positive learning envionment in order to promote student success and increase student self-esteem. Ms. Johnson is energetic, creative and is looking forward to growing both professionally and personally.
