I became employed with Onslow County schools in 1997 as a Teacher's Assistant in an Exceptional Children's Classroom. I have worked as an Exceptional Children's assistant and now have the pleasure of teaching in my own class and absolutely adore Kindergarten!

This is my 14th year as a Kindergarten Teacher, and I am looking forward to "sea of smiles" that greet me each morning with a new day/ a new adventure!

I was born in Quantico Virginia the second daughter to Ted and Emma Cotterman(for any locals-My mom worked for Dr. Dill for 20 plus years!).I spent my first 5 years of my life traveling with my family until the death of my dad( a Marine Master Sgt)I was raised in Jones County(Hargette's Cross Roads)until college at ECU and my marriage to a Marine-Michael Park of Ithaca New York.(He is now the head of L-3 Aerospace at MCAS) I finished my Birth-K degree at ECU and was a stay home mom to two wonderful children-Ted and Meagan and a beautiful Daughter-In-Law, Shannon.(Three mutt puppies Beau, Gracie and Bella and two Grandpuppies-a yellow lab-Daisy Mae and ablack lab -mix Sadie) I am an active member of Gospel Chapel First Church of God, Richlands. and a devout Christian(once again don't look at me for perfection!) I like spending time with my family, camping, fishing, ,NCIS, reading, when I have time, travel(mountains, Maine moose watching/NC Black Bear Watching and cruising are my favorites), I love what I do. Teaching was a later in life decision that my family is actively involved in. I am VERY passionate about my teaching and I love children!
